On November 18 from 6:00-9:00pm, the Virginia Tech Rescue Squad and Blacksburg Fire Department will be conducting a motor vehicle collision simulation on Smithfield Road. The exercise will cause closure of both lanes of Smithfield Road between the equine center and the Plantation Road - Smithfield Road intersection. The mixed use running/biking trail will not be affected by the exercise. This event is not intended for the public.
